How we rate
This page explains how operators and products are assessed on comicexpo.net, so that you can hold any article on this site to the same standard. Assessments are based on published terms, licence information and publicly available sources.
What we look at
Each assessment works through the same set of criteria. You can check an article against the list below and see whether the points have been addressed, and whether the article says where the information came from.
- Licence and regulatory status. Which authority the operator names, what the licence record states, and whether that record can be found in a public register.
- Terms and conditions. The published general terms, including account rules, withdrawal conditions and any clauses that limit what a player can do with a balance.
- Bonus and promotion terms. Wagering requirements, qualifying deposits, game weightings as the operator publishes them, maximum conversion limits and expiry rules.
- Payment information. The deposit and withdrawal methods listed, stated minimums and maximums, published processing times and any fees disclosed in the terms.
- Game and software providers. Which studios are credited, what the operator publishes about return-to-player figures, and whether provider information is available on the site itself.
- Responsible gambling tools. The limits, self-exclusion options and reality checks the operator states it offers, and how visible they are to a signed-in user.
- Customer support. The contact channels published by the operator and the hours it states for each.
- Transparency. Whether ownership, licence details and company information are disclosed on the operator’s own pages, or whether they have to be traced elsewhere.
- Public record. Regulator notices, published rulings and other documentation that is openly accessible.
What we do not do
We do not test games for fairness ourselves; that is the work of accredited testing laboratories. Where a game or a random number generator has been certified, the certificate is issued by such a laboratory, and an article on this site can only report what that documentation says. Nothing here replaces reading an operator’s own terms before you register or deposit.
Commercial relationships
Some links on this site are commercial. A commercial relationship with an operator does not change its assessment. The criteria above are applied in the same order and in the same way regardless of whether such a relationship exists, and an operator cannot have a criterion removed from an article or have a finding rewritten.
Corrections
Published terms change. If an article describes a licence, a term or a promotion that no longer matches what the operator publishes, the article is out of date and should be read against the operator’s current pages.
